PAPA J'S

Papa J’s, Cronulla’s newest venue, is a 1950’s glitz and glam lounge bar, opening on Tuesday 6th April.

This week, we had the luxury of attending a VIP night and whilst expectations were already quite high given the team owns both Jensens and Summer Salt, the experience just blew us away!!! From the moment we stepped inside, to the hours spent in the venue, the service was incredible, the music was a HUGE vibe and the food and drinks were outstanding.

My absolute favourite way to eat is exactly how Papa J’s have prepared their menu, share plates which go hand in hand with a glass of wine or cocktail. The stand out food items were the Smokey bbq glaze Black Angus skewers and Crispy pork belly san choy bow. The steak literally melted in your mouth and the pork belly was glazed over with a sticky caramel sauce that you legitimately could drink.

We loved all the cocktails as they were each so unique. The Alchemist blew me away with Ink Gin combined with yuzu, watermelon and guava and the El Conquistador with charred pineapple Tromba Tequila was one I’d never think to order but was pleasantly surprised by the flavours.

Papa J’s, PERFECT for date night, girls night in style or a swing by drink when you’re feeling a little lush.

  • Alchemist - Ink Gin, Triple Sec mixed with clarified yuzu, watermelon and guava. Served over a Diamond Puck $21

  • Come to Papa’s - Vodka One, Aperol, passionfruit, pineapple and ‘Cronulla Sour Mix'. Shaken till its fluffy and served up $20

  • El Conquistador - Charred pineapple Tromba Tequila, Regal Rogue Wild Rose and Pedro Ximanez served up with lime zest $20

  • Old Fashioned from the top shelf - Michters Rye, bitters and sugar. Served with orange zest $23
